I started Northwest School of Survival in 1983. My goal then and now remains the same - to provide year-round professional training and backcountry adventures in a variety of outdoor specialties. We have grown from a small business to a company that provides vital hands-on training for the U.S. Military, state and federal government agencies, and some of the largest companies in the world. We also train the general public, search and rescue teams, backcountry professionals, teachers, and others whose lives literally depend on the skills acquired. We also specialize in designing corporate events (executive adventures/team building) for management teams and their employees who desire to experience the power of interpersonal team-building skills away from their everyday work environment. These are held whenever and wherever training is desired for any group size.

We have been setting a high standard of training around the country for years. Regardless of which type of event you choose, your safety is one of our top priorities. We are committed to making each trip an exciting and memorable learning experience. The entire NWSOS - ITP staff adds character and dimension that I cannot provide alone. Year-round options for training include NWSOS - ITP designing and providing specific training needs for yourself or your team - anytime, any length, and anywhere you need it. We also provide "open-enrollment" courses or private individual or group events you can book for yourself, friends, groups, teams or employees. Our programs will equip and enable you to have safe and enjoyable outings in all your outdoor adventures.
